About the project
The project responds to new opportunities in the field of education, exploring and implementing Immersive Virtual Reality (iVR) technology in education with the aim of verifying the expected effects in applied research in both the sciences and humanities.
Educational content will be developed for two disciplines where significant potential is seen: foreign language teaching and geography teaching.
The project is strongly interdisciplinary - it links the IT field (software development) with the natural sciences (geography) and the humanities (English studies). Experts in geography and English studies are creating content that is designed for educational purposes. At the same time, the key members are psychologists and educators, who both focus on the user aspects of the proposed solution and guarantee the methodological grounding of the project, reflecting on the cognitive and other related processes of the users. An integral part of this is the involvement of information science experts who ensure the development of the knowledge infrastructure as such.
